That בְּ, not לְ, appears on יוֹם supports a temporal connotation (i.e., on the day) for בְּיוֹם. ו is best translated “and” in line e because it is sequential and, unlike the preceding ו (on וְאַל in line c), does not introduce a clearly adversative idea. וְאַל־תַּגְדֵּל פִּיךָ (and do not boast; lit., do not enlarge your mouth) probably has the sense of widening the mouth so as to facilitate the proliferation of words (see Ezek. 35:13). The context requires these words to be against Judah.
